Zach Edge

Zach Edge is a founder, operator, and commercialization executive with over a decade of experience spanning regulated cannabinoids, synthetic and semi-synthetic APIs, and controlled manufacturing environments. He currently serves as Vice President of Commercial Operations at Sun Theory, overseeing brand, cultivation, manufacturing, and retail operations across multiple state-licensed platforms.

Zach is the owner of Edge & Son LLC and principal of The RHO Advisory and Madrone Process Development, where he leads commercialization strategy for proprietary chemical syntheses, purification schemas, and scale-up pathways serving pharmaceutical and nutraceutical markets. His work emphasizes IP defensibility, regulatory survivability, and partner-aligned revenue structures.

Previously, Zach served as Director of Global Strategy and Corporate Development at Open Book Extracts, a cGMP-certified manufacturer with a global footprint and proprietary conversion technologies. He also held the role of Vice President of Business Development at Benuvia Manufacturing, a DEA-licensed CDMO producing pharmaceutical-grade cannabinoid, entheogenic, and synthetic small-molecule APIs for clinical and commercial use.

Earlier in his career, Zach was a senior global strategist and partner at Folium Biosciences, where he supported international expansion, large-scale processing commercialization, and revenue growth initiatives.

Zach holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from The University of Texas at Austin, providing a foundation for his work at the intersection of technical execution, market behavior, and regulated commercialization.
